THINGS TO DO

In Primosten you can go hiking early in the morning, refresh yourself in the Adriatic by noon, go rock climbing in the afternoon, enjoy delicious traditional cuisine and great music at dinner time and enjoy yourself at the cafés and taverns until the early morning hours.

Natural Enjoyment

The region offers endless activities for the outdoor adventurer. With over 1,000 islands, islets and reefs to visit, renting a boat is perhaps the best way to explore the Croatian coastline and to reach those idyllic secluded coves and isolated bays. Divers will find underwater caves, archaeological remains and diverse marine life to explore – all in crystal-clear waters. Sailing and diving lessons are available.

Windsurfing, rafting and kayaking are also popular, while Croatia’s National Parks and Nature Reserves offer fantastic opportunities for hiking, climbing and cycling. Other recreational opportunities, including tennis, table tennis, bowling and beach volleyball are also available.

Culture and Cuisine

Take in the local culture on your own or with an organized tour. Travel through local villages on the Primosten Wine Trail or learn about coral harvesting on a visit to the island of Zlarin. There are numerous cultural events and entertainment programs to enjoy in the summer months, such as the Primosten fiesta in August.

Be sure to sample our local food on your travels including prosciutto, cheese in olive oil, lamb, roasted meat, lentils, and other traditional dishes. The most famous local specialty is spiny lobster a la Primosten. Tasting of the famous local red wine, Babic, is also a must.

Pristine natural beauty, cultural events and regional cuisine offer endless opportunities for adventure
